Frequently Asked Questions

What is a PM Ready Chapter?

A PM Ready Chapter is the extension of PM Ready focused locally within schools, colleges/universities, neighborhoods, and communities. Chapters work to push forward PM Ready’s mission across the globe, empowering young leaders on the local level.

Are PM Ready chapter members part of PM Ready’s Global Youth Ambassador Team?

Members who join a PM Ready Chapter automatically join PM Ready’s Global Youth Ambassador Team. This means that each chapter member is a PM Ready ambassador who advances PM Ready’s mission.

How many members (ambassadors) do you need to start a PM Ready Chapter?

A PM Ready Chapter needs at least 3 members (ambassadors), in addition to the Chapter Manager.

Is there age limit to start or join a PM Ready chapter?

Since PM Ready is a youth-led and youth-driven nonprofit, youth of all ages (roughly defined 11-24) are particularly encouraged to start or join a PM Ready chapter. With this being said, we welcome and support younger students to start a local PM Ready chapter, because we believe that everyone can be a change maker.

What does a PM Ready Chapter do?

What makes our PM Ready chapters special is their unique flexibility to launch any initiatives that best fit their community’s needs. Our chapters do it all, including forming study groups, hosting book discussion and bonding events, interviewing project management professionals, watching inspirational movies, advocating policy/legislation, delivering project management workshops to younger students, and so much more!

Do I need any previous project management experience to start a Chapter or join one?

No previous project management experience or knowledge is needed! Chapter directors and members will benefit from our online course, “Project Management for Youth,” for FREE, as well as join our educational webinars. We equip you with proper resources to serve as a chapter manager or contributor.
